Gene's 1987 Toyota Supra Turbo

In the weeks before his untimely death, Gene was working on his '87 Toyota Supra Turbo. It was in good running condition when he garaged it at home, except he suspected it had a blown head gasket. These pictures show what a clean, well-kept car it is, considering that it's now 25 years old and eligible for historic-vehicle plates. Odometer reads 161227.

Under the hood ...

Interior ...
The camera flash washed out the color. The interior is actually a rich shade of deep blue.

(Please see the "Dash Trim" entry, below.)

The ECU ...

He took the glovebox out to access the ECU. The glovebox and all of its trim pieces and hardware are here and ready to be reinstalled.

Dash trim ...

He also removed some of the dash trim to investigate a nonworking temp gauge. The trim pieces are safely stowed in the back seat.

Manuals ...

The Owner's Manual and Repair Manual go with the car.

Receipts ...

Most of the work Gene did on the Supra over the last five years is documented with receipts.

New Parts ...

Receipts document parts and labor:

Clutch
U-joints
Therm fan clutch
Ball joints
Bearings
A-frame bushing
Front hub
Front coil and spring
Control arm
Lift supports
Timing cover
Right and left mirrors refinished
Windows tinted
Right outer tie-rod end replaced

For Sale ...

The car is for sale to the right buyer. Gene loved the Supra and I would not want it to go to anyone who intended to race, wreck, junk it, or part it out. This car needs an owner/driver who will value it for the great classic that it is.

 Thank you.
